If that does not work I just unplug my win 7 SATA cable and hook up my Windows_XP ME and it works just fine and then it is not a dual book system so I do have a back up set of windows for my games and just unplug the power and cables it still has the same Mac address so the registered game will still work. So I go to the forums section for that specific game and read till I find an answer. Some programs using a third party program such as Steam tells you to install it and not run it in compatibility mode for win 7 I have run into this problem. You may have to use compatibility mode for XP or vista I use XP myself.
